Every year, in true Webconnex fashion, we cap off the end of the year by doing something adventurous as a team. We take this opportunity to get the whole group together under one roof for team bonding and to celebrate the hard work each individual has contributed over the past twelve months. Our Webconnex team is a group who is devoted to their work and we love what we do! This dedication and hard work is something we intentionally choose to acknowledge and appreciate. We often choose to do so by participating in group activities that push many of us out of our comfort zone, only to experience something memorable and bring us closer as a team. This year our team stretched (and pushed) ourselves further than ever before to launch our new software and we deserved a celebration!
Two weeks ago, our Sacramento headquarters team took a drive to the Oakland Airport. Our mission was to pick up our remote working team members who had flown in from five cities across the US; all while continuing to bring you the best customer support around.
Once all team members were present and accounted for, we headed down the freeway where the real adventure awaited! We found ourselves at iFly for indoor skydiving! Each team member (Except our pregnant Director of Awesome First Impressions, Ashley) was able to get two sessions of flying in. Sharing in this exhilarating experience as a team was one of for the books! We walked away with boosted excitement, sharing our experiences with team members we may not have otherwise interacted with if we were cooped up in our work spaces.
After each of us returned safely to the ground, we then piled back onto the party bus to head to our next destination; dinner in the San Francisco Bay. We had a bit of a drive to make into the city so we used the time to play our very own custom Webconnex deck of "Heads Up". We all had a good laugh as we tested our team on their knowledge of inside jokes and fun facts from our history at Webconnex. It was fun to look back and smile on the progression we have made over the years as a team. We all learned some undiscovered facts about our company, products and team members.
We had a great dinner at a waterfront steakhouse where we enjoyed beautiful views of the bay and an incredible meal! Our support team took this opportunity to share cards with affirmations and appreciate for each team member including our cofounders.
Finally we capped off the night and celebrations at a pre-prohibition speakeasy in downtown San Francisco. It was a jam packed day that brought us that much closer to the incredible people that make up this awesome, one-of-a-kind team. We work hard together, dream together and win together.
