What payment methods can donors use?

Credit/debit cards and ACH are live today. Apple Pay, Google Pay will be added in summer 2025 (available on Webconnex Payments).

How often are deposits made?

Webconnex Payments deposits land weekly on Wednesdays (most banks show the funds Thursday morning). Daily payouts can be requested for special cases.

What payment gateways can I use?

GivingFuel natively uses Webconnex Payments, but custom gateways (Stripe, NMI, Auth.net, and more) can also be integrated for a 1% fee.

Would switching processors disrupt or require us to notify our current recurring donors?

Great question! No. We can setup existing recurring gifts to transfer to Webconnex Payments by working with your previous payment processor. No donor action needed.

What are the processing fees?

Credit cards: 2.9 % + 30¢ per transaction. ACH: 1 % flat.

How does reconciliation work?

All fees are removed before deposit, so a $100 donor-covered gift shows up as exactly $100 in your bank account. One payout report covers card + ACH gifts. See sample payout report here.

What kind of fraud protection do you offer?

Our payments engine analyzes millions of nonprofit-specific data points—IP reputation, device information, velocity checks, and more—across thousands of nonprofit sites in real time. This stops card-testing attacks traditional processors miss.

Which currencies can you accept donations from?

Webconnex Payments currently supports organisations based in the USA and Canada. Additional currencies are available through our custom gateways (Stripe, NMI, Auth.net, and more).
